Practitioner Profile
LAUREN
BATEMAN, MS, RN, CS-P
STRESS MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES/
FAMILY COACHING
Background & Experience
Lauren’s nursing career began at the Johns
Hopkins Hospital in Neurosciences Acute Care. Providing an integrative model of
“bio/psycho/social nursing acquired during her Bachelor of
Science Nursing Program, she informally and quickly became
the staff’s “emotional consultant” for patient and family
care. Within a year, she was promoted to a senior clinical
role with additional responsibilities of management and
education. She majored in Psychiatric Consultation-Liaison
in her Master of Science program and joined the Department
of Psychiatry to learn the clinical aspects of psychiatric
conditions. This provided a competent basis for doing
hospital-wide clinical consultation, which she provided
for the following ten years, first for The Johns Hopkins
Hospital, and then for the James Lawrence Kernan
Rehabilitation Hospital. During all of her work
experience, she has provided care to teenagers, young
adults, women, men, and the elderly. For the past 11
years, Lauren has independently studied natural ways to
achieve health and well being.
Treatment Philosophy
Health equates with balance of mind,
body, and spirit. Complementary and integrative
healthcare facilitate one’s inner healing processes in
all 3 of these interrelated domains through nurturing
self-empowerment. Strengthening of the individual’s own
healing capacity requires an active process and often
involves treatment of the root cause with holistic
results. We are living with a tremendous amount of
distress. Make an appointment to:
- learn various stress management
techniques and tools to enable you to inner balance
in a safe way, or
- learn proven techniques and
strategies to achieve empowered, successful
relationships with your spouse and children.
Lauren has much good news to share, and looks forward to
helping those who are motivated to achieve greater wellness.
