Body Wisdom ongoing individual sessions
are a safe place to use movement and words to identify, explore, and move
through unexpressed feelings and unresolved conflicts. In the
sessions, you will have an opportunity to use body awareness and
expressive movement to increase the connection between body, mind,
emotions, and spirit.

Do you have internal conflicts that manifest themselves
as body related symptoms such as - Symptoms are often the result of a split between body, mind, emotions and spirit. This split is used as a way of protecting ourselves from intense emotions, but it also gets in the way of our fully realizing our potential, claiming our personal power, and living a life of wholeness and wellness. Healing occurs during the practice of mindful and expressive movement. Feelings that were hidden, or unexpressed, have an opportunity to be experienced, moved through, and released. What to expect...
Sessions typically last one hour. You
begin with talking— usually about how your particular issue is showing up
in your life. Then Kathryn will suggest a movement experiential to
facilitate your process. There is no “right or wrong” way to respond
to her suggestion, in fact, you may even choose to not do it and talk
instead. With Movement for Wellness...
you can learn skills such as conscious breathing,
mindfulness, body awareness and self-expression, These skills help
you form a feedback loop between your body, mind, and emotions. This
loop gets you out of your head and into your body. It helps
you LISTEN to your body’s sensations and respond to them. It
helps you identify and express your feelings rather than repress them and
potentially suffer from physical symptoms. Benefits include:
