Background & Experience
Jeff
Millison is the Director, Acupuncture Program at the
Tai Sophia Institute
(formally the
Traditional Acupuncture Institute),
a Graduate School in the Healing Arts located in Laurel, MD.
Jeff is also a core faculty member and clinical supervisor
at Tai Sophia. He served on the Maryland
Acupuncture
society's board from 1992-1996, and worked for the National
Acupuncture Alliance from 1994-1995. Jeff is co-director of
the
RiverHill Wellness Center
and is certified by the National Commission for the
Certification of Acupuncturists.
With more than 16 years of clinical experience, he
incorporates his background in holistic psychology & Chinese
Medicine into his practice.

Treatment Philosophy

To
use acupuncture, Chinese herbs and lifestyle recommendations
to help restore each person's natural balance. This is
accomplished by paying deep attention to the evolution of
each individuals unique health experience, and treating any
underlying imbalance that manifests in physical, emotional,
or spiritual symptoms. |
Education
Jeff
Millison, M.Ac., L.Ac. is a
graduate of the Traditional Acupuncture Institute
in Columbia, Maryland, where
he earned his Masters of Acupuncture degree in 1991.
Jeff completed two years
at Boulder Graduate School in Holistic Psychology and
Counseling as well as a 2-year program in Chinese Herbology.
He has been a practicing herbalist since 1996 and
incorporates the use of herbs into his practice. In
addition, Jeff trained as a massage therapist at the
Baltimore Massage School in 1987 and has 10 years of
experience as a massage therapist.
